When creating a website, a designer will pick a colour or combination of colours based on its value and emotion it carries. Colour has a personality and the designer will choose carefully knowing that colour helps to show the user what the company is about and what products they are selling. Brown is a neutral colour so it doesn't carry emotion. That doesn't mean to say it has no meaning. Brown conjures up images of the earth, home and wholefulness.

Brown says stability, dependability and reliability. With Brown, home coming, nurturing, cozy and warm come to mind.
