5 Well-designed Ecommerce Websites

Ecommerce websites have come a long way in terms of design. They weren't always the most appealing of websites but now there is a growing awareness of the importance of high quality design in creating an excellent user experience. A good user experience results in the user staying on your site for longer periods of time browsing your products, thereby increasing your sales.

There are a number of factors that increase the time the user spends on your site.

1. A highlighted product

2. A good ecommerce website is one where the the product matters and stands out on the page.

The layout should make it easy for the user to search for products as well as browse the products on your site so use lots of images and text.

3.  High quality images

It is best to use good images, where particular attention is paid to good lighting. Bad quality images will turn your user off. If you want them to buy and not just visit, make sure you have high quality images of your products.

4.  Easy navigation

Your visitor will most likely want to browse your products and then go to other sites and compare prices before making a decision so do not make it difficult for them. Make an easy to use navigation to help them find things easily.
